SoundTrack_Cologne 7.0: The Best of the Combination of Film and Music

Hear the pictures, see the music – SoundTrack_Cologne dedicates itself to the interfaces of music and sound for film and the media: The conference section will discuss film music and sound design and will function as a networking platform for a specialist audience consisting, among others, of composers, sound designers, film producers, directors and music publishers. The festival section will present films about musical topics for an audience interested in music and film. The European University Meeting focuses entirely on up-and-coming talents.
With more than 60 technical seminars and more than 3.600 visitors SoundTrack_Cologne has become the industry’s leading event in the German-speaking sector which – with more than a quarter of its participant from abroad – is also increasingly appreciated in Europe.
Apart from the EUROPEAN TALENT AWARD in the categories film score and sound design SoundTrack_Cologne will award the PEER RABEN MUSIC AWARD for the best music for a short film, the GERMAN TV MUSIC PRIZE and also the ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
Among the guests are composers like Academy Award laureate Gabriel Yared (THE ENGLISH PATIENT), Marco Beltrami (SCREAM), John Frizzell (ALIEN:RESURRECTION), Harald Kloser (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW), Marcel Barsotti (POPE JOAN), Lola-winner Niki Reiser (NOWHERE IN AFRICA), Helmut Zerlett (THE CLOWN), Anette Focks (KRABAT) and Peter Thomas (SPACE PATROL) as well as directors such as Michael Glawogger (KILL DADDY GOOD NIGHT), Romuald Karmakar (DEATHMAKER), Edgar Reitz (HEIMAT) and Academy Award laureate Stefan Ruzowitzky (THE COUNTERFEITERS).
